David Mancera

David Mancera is an experienced business advisor with over 20 years in the agriculture industry, specializing in business planning, finance, compliance, and sustainable practices. He is the founder of La Cultiva, a nonprofit initiative that is now part of Tera Farm, supporting Latino regenerative farmers' access to land in California. He also serves on several nonprofit boards, including the California Department of Food and Agriculture, and holds degrees in Agriculture Business from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Agriculture and Resource Economics from UC Davis.

Favio Ortiz
Favio Ortiz was raised in the Salinas Valley and began learning to cultivate flowers at a young age and later expanded his skills to growing produce. Growing up around small business and agricultural work steered him toward a Business Administration degree specializing in Finance. After completing his degree, Favio entered the private sector, where he built experience in multiple industries. He has spent more than five years providing business advising support and expertise to small-scale farmers in the area.

Sheena Vaidyanathan 

Sheena spent over a decade as a computer scientist and entrepreneur and later transitioned to education, where she brought creative computer science curricula to schools across the country. After 18 years of teaching, Sheena retired in 2024 to focus on her passion for sustainable farming. Sheena currently works on an organic orchard, farming next to many of the farmers who are supported by Tera Farm. She is the founder of Tera Farm, and works on it’s mission to support farmers with the farm box service, as well as help connect people to the food they eat.
